Here’s the deal, Tucapau Baptist Church cares about one thing more than anything else, Jesus Christ. Tucapau is a family of individuals that have found hope in Jesus as He leads us to life-change. We want as many people as possible to experience that exact same life-change and freedom.

Tucapau Baptist Church was organized on February, 18th 1898 with approximately 35 charter Members. The first meeting place was a dwelling house on the corner of Chestnut Street just opposite the current building. After a few months the meeting place was changed to a room over the Mill Store and was used by all village churches. The Baptist Church held services there for approximately two years.
The original name of the community was Tucapau. In 1949 the Village of Tucapau voted to change its name to Startex in association of the mill. However, our church chose to retain its charter name Tucapau Baptist because the front stained glass window bearing that name had just been installed at a considerable cost.

What’s the bottom line? More than ever, Tucapau Baptist Church is committed to fostering a family built around life-change. Change for the future. Change for better. Change for progress. As we move forward as a church family, inclusion and belonging remain at the center of who we are as followers of Christ.

What does this mean for you? Most importantly, you’re always welcome at Tucapau Baptist Church. We’re saving a seat for you. Wherever you’re at in your faith journey, you’ll always be accepted here.
